7 states meeting, including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, issued for counting on drug addiction


Chandigarh. Today, a meeting of seven states, including Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, is going on in Chandigarh-Haryana residence to tighten the drug addiction and to eliminate the drug mafia. In the meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Uttrakhand Chief Minister TM Trivenendra Singh Rawat, senior officials of Chandigarh and Delhi are present. The meeting will be churned on how to eliminate the drug trade spreading in the states. Himachal Chief Minister Jayaram Thakur is participating in the meeting through video conferencing. There are many major decisions for the prevention of intoxication in the meeting. Joint police operations will also be run with neighboring states to curb the smuggling of interstate narcotics.

Essential amendments can be made to make Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act more difficult to prevent addiction. In the meeting, DGP of Chandigarh Sanjay Beniwal, DGP of Rajasthan and ADG CID are also present.

In Punjab, Haryana, Punjab and Uttarakhand, the business of intoxicants has increased in Himachal too. The active Chitta Mafia in the neighboring state has spread the roots in Himachal. Foreign drug paddlers are operating this business from several states. There have been such revelations in the investigation of the Shimla police. Simultaneously, smuggling of synthetic drugs is also increasing here. Within 6 months, there are 831 cases of NDPS Act in the state.
